Week of 5/10/10 - 5/16/10

Total Miles: 20.8

5/10/10
Went to bed ridiculously early last night (before 10) and got up at 7ish. Ran up to Cheviot Hills park at an easier start-out kind of pace, did two loops at a moderate pace and came back. Felt really good considering yesterday was my longest run in months. 6.7

5/11/10
Woke up a few before 7 and decided that the extra hour of sleep i'd set aside was useless at this point. Went out for 6ish up rose, to sepulveda, to national, by the SM airport and down centinela to ballona creek and back. Felt good and definitely was going faster throughout the run. My right foot hurt a little (blisters from the sunday run) but was feeling better than last night.

5/12/10
5.3 in the a.m. Didn't feel particularly sore or tired, just lethargic. Took things easy and stopped to stretch.

Time to start blogging again

5/9/2010
Its been about 139-ish days now in a row (but who's counting) and I think its time to start keeping a better record of my running. Not just that, but i've also specifically avoided it out of a semi-substantiated superstition that whenever i start running i can keep it going continuously as long as I'm not blogging.

But enough of that, its time to take it seriously and try to get in reasonable shape now that i've established the determination to run every day despite my current mental or physical condition.

So for my first entry In nearly (or over a year):
12.5 miles with Ian, Chaves, and Robby from Monterrey/Arroyo to Devil's Gate and back. Ideally wouldn't have run in the 3.0s, but paid the weak price of 3 blisters which is considerably cheaper than the last time I made this mistake and could barely walk for a few days.
